Sheena AKA "Sheena Darling"
South Carolina Chapter Founder
My name is Sheena Darling, I live in Sunny South Carolina and I’ve been living this retro life-style for years now. I married the most amazing guy over 12 years ago (and he has the most amazing beard too! Haha!) We have 4 children we thank God for daily, and I have 3 bitty pups also! (2 Chihuahuas and a peek-a-poo) I did a few years of modeling when I was younger, but I was in a car accident that left a pretty big scar on my forehead and that put a damper on things for a while. I lost of a lot of self-confidence for the longest time. While my wound has been healed for a long time, and my scar is easily “hidden”, my self-esteem didn’t heal quite so quickly. It’s only been since recently that I have really stepped out of the box and allowed the love and support of my friends and family to encourage me to go for this. Social media has proven that these days, it doesn’t matter if you’re tall, short, thin, fat, scarred, or no scars, you CAN achieve your dreams if you put your mind to it!!! I decided this year will be my year to set and achieve my goals! My ultimate goal in modeling is to model for companies such as Pinup Girl Clothing and Torrid. Not only am I a freelance plus model, I’m also a Director at a faith based childcare center. If you’re interested in following me on my modeling journey, please check out my fan page! You can look me up under Sheena Darling- Plus Model or facebook.com/sheenamodels. I’m also on Instagram: sheena_plus_model and Twitter: @plus_pinup. My heart is in giving back to our community in many different ways for many years. I am over-joyed to have found that I can mix my style and love of all things retro in with what I love to do! I am SUPER excited to be a part of the growing team of volunteers at Pin-ups For a Cause and spear-heading the South Carolina Chapter as the Founder.
You already have what it takes to be a Pin Up because you know how to smile! Contact us, we would love to have you join us!
Our mission is to bring awareness and assist with fundraising efforts for the many causes we support. We continually strive to support, uplift and thank our service men and women in uniform-past and present. Keeping the Pin Up culture alive, with flair, class and a smile!
Often as a child I was told that I had an “old soul” but never really understood what that meant until I had become an adult. Upon learning of the beautiful love story, starring my Grandparents circa WWII, I embraced the vintage lifestyle and from there, and a new bucket list dream, Pin Ups for a Cause, was born. Being a disabled and faith driven single Mother of 2 young men, I concentrate on the positives in life and the things that I CAN do. Volunteering has always been dear to my heart and has become a big part of my life-long journey. I'm fortunate to be able to impact the lives of others, all while partnering with some of the most amazing people, pets and organizations along the way! The best moments in life, are the ones yet to be experienced, felt or seen!
The BEST is yet to come!
